A mechanism to improve the throughput of cloud computing environments using congestion control-

Abstract :
Cloud computing as a new model for the delivery of applications, platforms or computing resources, including processing, memory, bandwidth, etc. to customers in return for the used payment method emerged. Therefore it has become important to share cloud resources, so as to provide them economically. In cloud computing services, multiple types of resources, such as processing ability, bandwidth and storage, need to be allocated simultaneously. If there is a surge of requests, a competition will arise between these requests for the use of cloud resources. This leads to the disruption of the service and it is necessary to consider a measure to avoid or relieve congestion of cloud computing environments. The basic issue here is to provide a new congestion control method for cloud computing environments which reduces the size of required resource for congested resource types instead of restricting all service requests as in Conventional methods. In this research, congestion control implemented in allocation level of available resources in the datacenters to virtual machines And we evaluated its impact on the cloudlets response time and throughput of cloud computing environments by comobining it with a new cloudlets allocation strategy. In order to simulate the proposed mechanism named CCMICC, CloudSim3.0.3 software has been used. It is demonstrated by simulation evaluations that CCMICC can allocate more resources to virtual machines compared with the conventional methods and relieve the congestion. the proposed method can improve the throughput of cloud computing environments as well as service quality.

Simulation of viscous flows with boundary layers within multiscale model using generalized hydrodynamics equations (مقاله لاتین

Abstract
The multiscale method for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is proposed to solve viscous flow problems at high Reynolds numbers with a thin boundary layer. This method is a physics-based model, uses generalized hydrodynamic equations proposed by Alexeev (1994), and can be interpreted as a regularization of the Navier-Stokes equations. Numerical solutions using this approach compare favorably with experimental data for the cases we considered for different flow problems in the range of Reynolds number from Re = 3200 to 1,000,000. The method is discussed and numerical solutions are compared with the experimental data for a 3D driven cavity flow at Re = 3200 and 10,000, 2D backward facing step flow at Re = 44,000, 2D channel flow at Re number up to 106, and a 3D thermal convection in a cylinder at Ra = 1000 to 150,000. Comparison with the analytical asymptotic solution is provided for a thermal convection, in the electrically conducting fluid suppressed by a strong magnetic field at Hartman numbers Ha up to 20,000. This multiphysics model is not a turbulence model, and no additional equations are introduced. Kinetic effects (small flow scales) are successfully captured with new terms introduced into the governing equations, and the derived small scale of turbulence compares well with observed in the experiments by Koseff and Street (1984).

Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Silybum Marianum  Seed Extract

Abstract

Green synthesis of nanoparticles, as fundamental building blocks of nanotechnology, has recently attracted considerable attention. Silver nanoparticles have unique physiochemical, biological and environmental properties which make them useful in a wide range of applications. In the present paper we report our research results on biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles from silver precursor using milk-thistle plant (Silybum marianum) seed extract. The resulting synthesized Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) were characterized with UV–visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Our measurements showed that S. marianum seed extract can mediate facile and eco-friendly biosynthesis of colloidal spherical silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) of size range 1–25 nm. The colloidal AgNPs were formed at room temperature and were observed to be highly stable even after 6 months.

سنتز نانوذرات نقره با استفاده از دانه استخراج شده Silybum Marianum

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is prevalent in Taiwan, but it is suspected that its occurrence has been underestimated
by the National TB Surveillance Program. A pre-employment health examination is mandated by law in Taiwan, providing a mechanism
to assess the occurrence of TB more accurately.
Methods: A pre-employment TB screening program of an industrial park was used to evaluate the performance of the National TB
Surveillance Program in Taiwan. The yields of the pre-employment TB screening, using chest radiography from July 2004 to June
2005, were compared with corresponding results of the National TB Surveillance Program.
Results: A total of 17,105 new employees with an even gender distribution (men:women ratio, 50.2%:49.8%) underwent screening
during the study period. Among the participants, 22 (128.6 per 100,000) new patients with pulmonary TB were diagnosed, and
7 (31.8%) of the patients had positive bacteriology findings. Compared with the results of the National TB Surveillance Program,
the pre-employment screening had a much higher yield (128 vs. 47 per 100,000, P , .001).
Conclusion: The yield of the active surveillance program through mandatory screening was much higher than that of the National
TB Surveillance Program, which is a passive reporting system. The results of this study highlight the need for more active TB surveillance
efforts in endemic areas like Taiwan. (Am J Infect Control 2007;35:254-9.)
